Prof. Katrien Luijkx has been awarded the Best Supervisor of the Year Award 2015 at the National PhD Day, November 10th at the TU Delft. Luijkx, professor at Tilburg University, was recognized for her personal and efficient guidance of PhD candidates. She received the award and Ipad from Karl Dittrich, president of the VSNU. Prof. dr. Johan van Leeuwaarden

Prof. dr. Johan van Leeuwaarden (TUE & member of the Young Academy).
Full professor in the section Stochastics of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science in Eindhoven University of Technology. Since 2011 he is also the director of the Graduate Program of Mathematics. He is a member of the Young Academy (De Jonge Akademie).

Frank van Someren Gréve

Frank van Someren Gréve (Aprove – PhD association of AMC).
Medical doctor and  PhD candidate on the department of Intensive Care and Medical Microbiology in the Academic Medical Center in Amsterdam, interested in the epidemiology, burden, shedding and diagnostics of respiratory viruses in the critically ill. He is the vice chair of APROVE – the PhD association of the AMC – and was chair of the Science Night 2015, an annual symposium organized by PhD candidates.

Charlotte de Roon

Charlotte de Roon (PhD Candidate Network of The Netherlands – PNN).
Research associate and dual PhD candidate at the Leiden University Dual PhD Centre The Hague. Interested in the political participation of young people and political youth organizations. Since March she is president of the PhD Candidate Network of The Netherlands.

Jonas Teuwen

Jonas Teuwen (PhD Candidate Network of The Netherlands – PNN).
Engineer and PhD candidate in mathematics and physics at the Delft University of Technology. Currently Jonas is the vice-president of the PhD Candidate Network of The Netherlands and a board member of the trade union for scientists, the VAWO – and was chair of Promood, the PhD association at the Delft University of Technology.
